Workshops
Our workshops give you the opportunity to explore life themes creatively. In small groups, a calm and appreciative atmosphere emerges in which you can work for yourself and find inspiration in others.
Individual Sessions
In individual art therapy sessions, you and your personal themes take centre stage. In a protected, trusting setting, you work creatively, without pressure and at your own pace.
Our approach to Art Therapy
Painting and creative arts therapy is an experience-based way of approaching inner themes. It makes it possible to bring feelings, thoughts and memories into view and work with them creatively, even when words alone are not enough. The focus is not on the artistic result, but on the process of creating itself.
Our approach combines classic art therapy methods with a neuroaffective understanding of development and change. That means we do not only work on the cognitive level, but also include physical and emotional processes. This allows deeper-lying themes to be reached and worked through.
In creative arts therapy, we use colours, shapes and a range of materials as a bridge between inner experience and outer expression. Through the act of creating, a space emerges in which new things can be discovered, old things released and personal resources strengthened.
Creative expression offers a safe setting in which you can unfold without judgement. Whether one to one or in a group, Art Therapy at Kaiserufer accompanies you on your very own path of self-discovery and growth.
Our Methods
- Creative and expressive techniques: Painting and creative work make inner processes visible and tangible.
- Non-verbal expression: Feelings and inner images can be expressed without having to find words.
- Receptive art therapy: Looking at images can open up new perspectives and inner resonances.
- Lösungsorientiertes Malen (LOM) (solution-oriented painting): A solution-focused approach that uses creative processes to develop new paths and ways of acting.
- Neuroaffective approach: Creative work connects emotional, physical and cognitive processes.
Our Philosophy
We developed Art Therapy at Kaiserufer with one aspiration: to accompany people the way we would want to be accompanied ourselves, with attention, respect and a deep understanding of individual processes. Every person brings their own experiences, strengths and themes, and that is exactly where we begin.
Professional expertise and human warmth go hand in hand with us. Our art therapists are trained in various creative therapy methods and continue their professional development on an ongoing basis. At the same time, we place great value on an atmosphere in which you feel safe and accepted.
We look forward to meeting you and finding out together how Art Therapy can support you on your path. The first step is often the most important, and we are here to take it with you.

Frequently asked questions
FAQ
What is Art Therapy?
Art Therapy is a therapeutic method that uses creative processes such as painting and creative work to make inner themes visible. It complements or extends classic talk therapy and opens a path to feelings and thoughts that are often hard to put into words.
Who is Art Therapy suitable for?
For children, teens and adults. It is particularly helpful for stress, emotional strain, questions of orientation or the wish for personal growth. You do not need any artistic experience.
Do I need experience in painting or drawing?
No, you do not need any artistic experience at all. Art Therapy is not about performance or results, it is about the process and your personal expression.
What happens in an art therapy session?
You work with a variety of materials such as colours, shapes and creative media. Along the way you are supported with empathy and can explore your themes at your own pace.
What is the difference between an individual session and a workshop?
In an individual session, your personal themes take centre stage, in a private and protected setting. Workshops, by contrast, offer the chance to work creatively in a small group and inspire one another.
Can I get an appointment at short notice?
Yes. Our Psycho-Quickie is designed exactly for that: spontaneous counselling and quick support. Call us or write to us, and we will find you an appointment promptly.
Is Art Therapy covered by health insurance?
Art Therapy at Kaiserufer is a self-pay service. Private health insurers and supplementary insurance plans often cover part of the costs. We are happy to explore the options with you in a free initial consultation.
